Privacy policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Carver Footwear ("Carver," "we," "us") makes footwear. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit carverfootwear.com, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. It applies to this website only.
The short version
If you read nothing else, this is the substance of it:
- We collect your email address when you give it to us — to reserve a pair, to join our list, or to ask us a question. We do not buy email lists.
- We collect ordinary technical information about your visit, like your device type, browser, and which pages you looked at.
- We advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and we use their tracking pixel on this site. That means Meta can connect your visit here to your account there, and we can show ads to people who have browsed our shoes. You can opt out — see Advertising and analytics.
- We do not sell your personal information for money.
- We are not currently processing payments, so we do not hold your card details.
- If you live in California, you have specific legal rights over your data. See Your California privacy rights.
- Questions, or want your data deleted? Email contact@carverfootwear.com.

What we collect
We collect three kinds of information.
Information you give us
- Contact details. Your email address, and your name if you provide it, when you reserve a pair, sign up for our list, or contact us.
- Reservation details. Which style, size, and colorway you expressed interest in.
- Messages. Whatever you write to us, including your size and fit feedback.
Information collected automatically
- Device and connection data. IP address, browser, operating system, screen size, and referring site.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, products viewed, time on page, and what you clicked.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Small files that let the site remember your session and let us measure traffic and advertising.
Information from third parties
Our advertising and analytics providers — principally Meta and Shopify — share aggregate information with us about how our ads perform and how visitors reach the site.
What we do not collect. We are not currently taking payments through this site, so we do not collect or store payment card numbers or financial account details. If that changes, this policy will be updated before it does.
How we use it
- To hold your reservation and tell you when the product you asked about is available.
- To answer you when you get in touch.
- To send you email about launches and new releases, if you asked for it. Every message has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand demand. Carver is an early-stage brand, and we use interest in specific styles, sizes, and colorways to decide what to actually manufacture. Your reservation is a vote.
- To advertise our products, including to people who have visited this site.
- To improve the site and to keep it working and secure.
- To meet legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Who we share it with
We share personal information with companies that perform services for us, and only so they can perform those services:
- Shopify hosts this store and processes data on our behalf.
- Meta Platforms receives site activity through its advertising pixel, described below.
- Email and analytics providers that help us send messages and measure traffic.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to valid legal process, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. If that last one ever happens, we will say so here.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Note that under California law, "sale" and "sharing" are defined broadly enough that our use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for targeted advertising. You can opt out — see below.
Advertising and analytics
We run ads on Meta's platforms, including Facebook and Instagram. To do that, this site loads the Meta pixel, which reports your activity here — pages viewed, products viewed, reservations started — back to Meta. Meta can match that activity to your account if you have one, which lets us show ads to people who have shown interest in our shoes, and lets us measure whether those ads work.
You have several ways to limit this:
- Adjust your ad preferences directly in your Facebook or Instagram account settings.
- Use your browser's cookie controls to block third-party cookies.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control in a supporting browser. Where the law requires us to honor it, we treat that signal as an opt-out request for that browser.
- Email us at contact@carverfootwear.com and ask us to stop.
Your choices
- Email. Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link at the bottom of it. We may still send you messages about a reservation you placed.
- Cookies. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. Parts of the site may not work properly if you block all of them.
- Access and deletion. Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
Your California privacy rights
We sell only within the United States. If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended gives you the following rights:
- Right to know what personal information we have collected about you, where we got it, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Right to delete the personal information we hold about you, with some legal exceptions.
- Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. As noted above, our advertising cookies may constitute "sharing." To opt out, email us or use Global Privacy Control.
- Right against discrimination. We will not give you a worse experience or price because you exercised these rights.
To exercise any of these, email contact@carverfootwear.com with the subject line "Privacy request." We may need to verify your identity before we act, usually by confirming you control the email address involved. You can use an authorized agent, in which case we will ask for proof of that authorization.
The categories of personal information we have collected in the past twelve months are identifiers (such as email address and IP address), internet activity (such as browsing and product-view history), and commercial information (such as which products you expressed interest in). We disclosed these categories to our service providers and advertising partners for the business purposes described above.
How long we keep it
We keep your contact details for as long as you are on our list, and for a reasonable period afterward in case you come back. Technical and usage data is kept for a shorter period, typically no longer than we need it to understand traffic and advertising performance. Ask us to delete your information and we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Security
We use Shopify's infrastructure, which provides encryption in transit and standard commercial safeguards. No method of transmitting or storing data is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Please do not send us sensitive personal information by email.
Children
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this policy as our practices change — notably if we begin processing payments or add new advertising partners. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect.
