These terms govern your use of carverfootwear.com. By using the site, you agree to them. Please read them — they are shorter and plainer than most.

Who we are

Carver Footwear is an early-stage footwear brand operating this website. We do not yet operate through a registered legal entity; when that changes, these terms will name it. You can reach us at contact@carverfootwear.com.

Reservations, not yet orders

This is the most important thing on this page. The Slate is not yet in production. Nothing on this site ships today, and we are not currently taking payment.

What you can place is a reservation: a statement of which size and colorway you want. A reservation is not a contract of sale. It does not oblige you to buy and does not oblige us to sell. We may not be able to fulfill every reservation, and quantities, colorways, and prices may change between now and production — or the product may not go into production at all.

When the Slate is ready, we will email you, and you can decide then. Cancel a reservation at any time by emailing us.

Pricing

Prices shown are in US dollars and are indicative until orders open. We try hard to keep the site accurate, but if a price or product detail is wrong, we reserve the right to correct it. If a correction affects a reservation you placed, we will tell you before anything is charged, and you can walk away.

Using the site

You may browse, reserve, and share our pages freely. You may not:

• Use the site for anything unlawful, or in a way that damages or overloads it.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content or customer data.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the site or its systems.
• Reproduce our photography, copy, or designs commercially without written permission.

Our content

The text, photography, product designs, and the Carver name and marks on this site belong to us. You are welcome to share links and images for personal, non-commercial purposes with attribution. Everything else needs our permission first.

Anything you send us

We would like your feedback on the product — that is much of why this site exists. If you send us comments, fit notes, photographs, or suggestions, you grant us permission to use them to develop and promote our products, without payment. We will not publish your name or personal details without asking you first. Do not send us anything confidential or anything you do not have the right to share.

Accounts

If you create an account, keep your password to yourself and let us know promptly if you think someone else has it. You are responsible for activity under your account.

Links to other sites

We sometimes link out. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. Read their terms.

Disclaimer and liability

We provide this site as it is. We do not warrant that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or free of errors, and we make no guarantee about production timelines for a product still in development.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Carver Footwear is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited — including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Some states do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why, including our use of Meta advertising. It forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We sell only within the United States.

Changes

We will update these terms as the business develops — most obviously when we begin taking real orders. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it.
